A successful and special panettone at La Credenza


The first step of La Vita è Dolce worldwide tour has been a success. Giovanni Grasso and Igor Macchia of La Credenza at San Maurizio Canavese, Province of Turin, presented a very innovative and special “Panettone, tangerine and dried fruits”. From Thursday, June 18th to Wednesday, June 24th, almost all their customers tried this dessert, many of them visited the restaurant simpl y because they heard of the initiative.
A special dinner was organised by Nicola Fabbri, the CEO of Fabbri 1905, the main supporter of La Vita è Dolce, at La Credenza to celebrate the begining of the Tour. Among the guests of the evening, many GVCI associates were to be found, such as Elena Ruocco, coordinator of the La Dolce Vita Tour, Francesco Elmi, the executive pastry chef, who has put in video all the step by step recipes of the traditional Italian sweets featured on the tour, his assistant Christian Bonfiglioli, and Turin based Marisa Avalis, Italian specialty food expert. Igor Macchia and Giovanni Grasso, his wife Franca, and the staff of La Credenza welcomed the guests with an extraordinary degustation menu (See below)

During the night Elena Ruocco talked with many guests of the restaurant who were enthusiastic about the panettone, tangerine and dried fruits they tried and wanted to know more about La Vita è Dolce and itchefs-GVCI.

Shrimp and melon

Scallops carpaccio, marinated in lemon and juniper, honey sauce and vegetable tempura

Squid cooked at low temperature, mussels, red prawns, ginger and mint sauce
