Claudio Rossi from Singapore to Toronto. After 2 years as Executive chef at the Singapore Regent Hotel, Claudio Rossi is leaving the post in December to go on to Toronto as Executive Chef of the Four Seasons Hotel, the first to be opened by this prestigious chain.
Save 42 years old, born in Milan, Claudio represents a young generation of Italian chefs who have started as chefs in
Italian hotel restaurants and have gone up to the top of the ladder, often supervising Asian restaurants but never loosing the contact with the Italian Cuisine. Last June, Claudio
completed the opening of Basilico, a 236-seat Italian restaurants, on the premises of the Singapore Regent. Previously he had been
Executive chef at the Four Seasons Resort, Chiang Mai, Thailand, one of the most luxurious properties of the Group, in which he helped to open a spectacular school of Thai cuisine.
He is a veteran of Asia, having worked, since 1982, in Shanghai, Taipei, Hong Kong and Jakarta, among other cities.
Claudio is married to Claudia, a Taiwanese woman, and they have one daughter, Caterina. Another great Italian Chef and GVCI member will take his place at the Singapore Regent:
